Project
The tunnel links the Eastern Pyrenees and the Ariège since 1994. The work carried out in 2013 was aimed at modernizing it and installing definitive evacuation and safety systems that meet European safety standards. Divided into three periods of work, this important project will be spread out from 2013 to 2016 allowing the creation of fire shelters, which increased from 5 to 11, connected to a ventilation shaft above the roadway, arranged to be used as an emergency exit.

The platform was set up for this important safety upgrade of the Puymorens tunnel in the Eastern Pyrenees, facilitating the exchange of documents between the different actors of the project.
